The hotel

The Quellenhof was built in 1873/74 as Villa Schreiber and stands on the Brunnenallee, Bad Wildungen's spa promenade. The hotel has 124 rooms and junior suites, several restaurants and a bar. Its website says the casino is “directly in the hotel”.

The casino

The casino is a branch of Spielbank Kassel. It has slot machines only: 83 machines, an 8-seat multiplayer roulette and, from 7 pm, roulette streamed live from Kassel. There are no live tables on site. Drinks are served by the hotel.

Getting there

Bad Wildungen station is about 1.9 km away; bus or taxi is easier. Lake Edersee and Kellerwald National Park are nearby.

Good to know

According to the casino, gaming in Bad Wildungen dates back to 1616; in 1724 it was expanded “to entertain spa guests”. From 1861 there was a casino in the new Kursaal, until the ban of 1872.
