The hotel

The Axelmannstein calls itself Bad Reichenhall's most traditional hotel. The present building dates from 1909–1911, and the hotel has its own 30,000 m² park with a small lake. According to the hotel, the casino and the spa garden with its graduation tower are “right next door”.

The casino

Since 1988 the casino has been in the Kurgastzentrum, with a restaurant and underground car park. American roulette starts at 4 pm, blackjack and Bavarian Texas Hold'em at 8 pm, slots at noon. According to the casino, more than half its guests come from Austria and Italy.

Getting there

Bad Reichenhall station is about 550 m from the hotel and about 350 m from the casino.

Good to know

The casino opened in 1955, became state-run in 1961 and moved into the Kurgastzentrum in 1988. Right next door, the Bad Reichenhaller Philharmoniker play in the concert rotunda.

Bavarian casinos are still closed on these days in 2026: 1 Nov, 15 Nov, 18 Nov, 22 Nov and 24 Dec.
